Art Briefs

What: Josee St-Amour Art Show

Where: Savage Beagle

When: Sunday, July 18

Longtime local lass Josee St-Amour, who coincidentally is this week’s Pique cover artist, is staging a one-night exhibit of her phantasy and animorphic themed acrylic paintings and sculptures at the Savage Beagle this Sunday night.

St-Amour will be leaving Whistler this fall to attend the renowned Vancouver-based Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design and will be directing proceeds from the show’s $5 cover charge toward her tuition costs.

Normally closed on Sundays except on long weekends, the Beagle is opening specially to support St-Amour’s show.

The Beagle’s bar and dance floor will be operational during the show. The club will close at midnight.
