Crankworx registration going strong

If you're looking to race in any of the open events at this year's Crankworx freeride mountain bike festival, you'd better get on it - registration is going strong according to Whistler Blackcomb, and most events are expected to sell out ahead of time.

Online registration is available at www.crankworx.com.

To date, organizers have already confirmed that top riders like Jill Kintner, Brian Lopes and the Atherton family - Gee, Dan and Rachel - will be competing. Remy Absalon, who won the Red Bull Exodus race in Whistler last year, is also on the confirmed list.

Events that are open to the public include the Dual Slalom on Aug. 7, the Monster Energy Garbanzo DH on Aug. 8, the Ken Quon Ride On and B.C. Cup on Aug. 8, the Canadian Open Enduro (super D race) on Aug. 10, the Air Downhill on Aug. 11, Kidsworx and Trialsworx on Aug. 13 and 14, the Giant Slalom presented by Giant on Aug. 13, the Camelbak Karaoke Jump Jam on Aug. 14, and the Canadian Open DH presented by Kona on Aug. 15.
