Diane Mombourquette departs Whistler

Former municipal general manager of economic viability to become administrator in Wolfville, Nova Scotia

Diane Mombourquette is heading back to her Nova Scotia roots.

She will take up her new position as Chief Administrative Officer for the town of Wolfville, Nova Scotia this fall.

For the last two years Mombourquette has been vice president of Whistler Sport Legacies. Her last day will be Aug.31.

"I want to thank Diane for her dedication and enthusiasm for our organization, and for her contribution to Whistler's business community. She will surely be missed," said Keith Bennett, President and CEO of WSL

Mombourquette has lived and worked in Whistler for 13 years. In the past she has held positions as vice president and CFO at Boutique Hotels and Resorts of BC, as the general manager of economic viability at Resort Municipality of Whistler , and as vice president of finance and operations at Tourism Whistler .

For the past two years with WSL Mombourquette has been building the organization's foundation by supporting the pursuit of funding, developing Business Plans, and setting up all business systems and processes.

There are no immediate plans to fill her position.
