D.O.A. back at the Boot

Stick some safety pins on your jacket, and stick it to the man.

Vancouver punk legends D.O.A. are back in Whistler this weekend for a special old-school edition of The Punk Night (of course!)

D.O.A. last played Whistler in January 2004 – a show that included a spoken word reading by frontman Joe Keithley from his newly published autobiography: I, Shithead.

For his latest project, Keithley might be considered a historian. Via his label Sudden Death, Keithley has organized the reissue on CD of Vancouver Complication, a 25-year-old punk compilation considered to be a "who’s who" of the Vancouver punk scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Last Saturday’s release party in Vancouver reunited many of the original contributing bands including No Fun, the Shades, and the Dishrags.

The Boot show will include opening sets by Daggermouth and Notch. For info on shows at the Boot call 604-932-3338.
