Don't skip Skool

Skool of Thought at Tommy Africa's

Skool is in session Sunday, Jan. 8 at Tommy Africa’s with what DJ Magazine describes as "powerful, bass-heavy belters."

Lloyd Seymour, a.k.a. Skool of Thought, first made his break at the legendary Carnage night in St. Albans in 1997. He later teamed with party rocker Krafty Kuts to launch the SuperCharged club night, which later led to shows in Australia, Canada and Spain.

From his success, he founded two record labels, Against the Grain and Supercharged, selling more than a quarter of a million albums world-wide.

He later moved on to release the single Sound Check with Krafty Kuts, clocking up 7,000 sales in 2002 alone, along with Feel the Music with Ed Solo, which hit number one on the DJ Magazine’s beats chart – as did his Heavy Weight Breaks compilation.

The label manager, producer and DJ is also responsible for break remixes of Groove Armada’s Superstylin’ and Beastie Boys’ Fight for Your Right.

Tickets are $8/$10 and are available at Electric Daisy or Hot Box Internet cafes.
