Snowboarding junkies can get doubly stoked on the coming season this Sunday night at Garfinkel’s. A video release party for industry giant Four Star Distribution and their Video Gangs will be held, followed by local rider group the Gathering Collective’s The Gong Show.
With the pool of riding talent sponsored by the various companies under Four Star deeper than the late Barry White’s voice, the roster of Video Gangs, their first video effort, reads like a dream team of snowboarding. Look for superstars like Kevin Jones, Tara Dakides, Peter Line, Devun Walsh, Chris Dufficy, Bjorn Leines and Chad Otterstrom, to name a few. And you can bet on this crew of guys and a girl that rides like a guy to throw down sick drops, massive airs, and the most progressive rail riding ever witnessed. Local pride will also be well represented on Sunday night with the screening of the Gathering Collective’s The Gong Show , which features riders such as Trever Andrew, DCP, Martin Gallant, Mike Page, Annie Boulanger and Mikey Rencz, to name a scant few.
The films kick off a DJ line-up, which includes Headspin, Rumble, R3 and Mat the Alien. Screenings are slated to begin at 10 p.m. sharp. Tickets $10 at the door.
