My five favourite tracks right now:

Shot You Down — Audio Bullys feat. Nancy Sinatra

"You may recognize parts of this track from the movie Kill Bill. The original has a lonely western feel to it but when the always awesome Audio Bullys got their hands on it they gave it the funky-tech boost it needed to be a hit, while still maintaining crucial original samples."

Suntoucher — Groove Armada feat. Jeru Tha Damaga

"Released in 2001, this is still one of many of my favourite Groove Armada tracks. The song is funky as shit and Jeru was the perfect MC to complement the flow of the track."

Callin' Out — Lyrics Born

"Lyrics Born has pretty much the coolest voice I've ever heard. I first heard him on the Quannum Spectrum album over five years ago. His most recent solo hip-hop album, Later That Day , is kind of hit and miss. But this fun, bouncy track is definitely one of the highlights."

I Like The Way (remix) — Junior Jack

"Yet another floor-filler from Junior Jack. Some of his other hits include Da Hype and the hugely popular Esamba. This time he comes at ya with the house/rock sound that was made popular last year by Deep Dish's Flashdance. Junior Jack took out the terrible vocal from The Bodyrockers’ original and made this track live up to its potential."

Blue Boy — Remember Me

"This song from years past is still one of my favourites. The super funky mid-tempo sound of this track feels like hip-hop meets the ’70s. The vocalist reminds me of Jefferson Airplane over a funky underground beat. Awesome track."

Last words...

"I coulda used a little more cowbell."
