Whistler's own Bushwoman Productions is resurrecting its Absolutely Fabulous tribute to the classic BBC TV comedy.
Michelle Bush, who first played flakey fashionista Eddie Monsoon 11 years ago and on-and-off since, said they will be performing the episode "Fat" on Nov. 21 at the Garibaldi Lift Co. at 8p.m. Monique Davidson will be reprising her role as Eddie's hard-partying fashion editor sidekick Patsy Stone.
Members of the audience will have the chance to play small parts, Bush said.
"We wanted to get 'the band' back together. It's all the same people. We thought it would be fun to do an interactive show at the GLC where people could sit and drink and get involved," Bush said.
In their forays in the resort dressed up as Eddie and Patsy, Bush and Davidson had people shrieking, thinking they were seeing the British originals.
In "Fat," the self-obsessed 1960s holdovers get into many self-inflicted scrapes centering on Eddie's need to lose a few pounds. Absolutely Fabulous was first broadcast in the 1990s with British writer and comedian Jennifer Saunders playing Eddie. Joanna Lumley played Patsy.
Cornucopia turns on food and music
Cornucopia continues into its second week with the chance to eat, drink and shake it all out on the dance floor afterwards.
House Party: Celebrate Argentina has celebrated Argentine wines and local craft beers and spirits from B.C. at the Whistler Conference Centre on Friday, Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food from Sidecut Restaurant at the Four Seasons Whistler Resort. Tickets are $45. A DJ will spin and the vibe will be festive.
Furry Fridays with Buffalo Bill's and Stoli takes place on Friday, Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. Tickets $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
Poured: The After Party takes place at Garfinkel's on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. DJ A Rich and other DJs until late. Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
Monster Energy Presents: Revolutions at the Bearfoot Bistro. Delicious food and music with DJs Mat the Alien, DJ Pump, DJ ILLO and Vinyl Ritchie Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. Tickets $143.

Whistler Welcome Week shows movies
Two films are being shown next week as part of Whistler Welcome Week, six days of events to acclimatize seasonal workers and show them what fun can be had at the resort.
Into the Mind by Sherpas Cinema is about the dreams and realities of climbing and skiing mountains. It is being shown at Millennium Place on Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5.
Ski Bums will be shown at Whistler Public Library on Nov. 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

RMOW art committee vacancies
The Resort Municipality of Whistler's Public Art Committee has two vacancies for a two-year term on the committee starting Jan. 2014.
The committee advises municipal staff and council on all aspects of public art at the resort.
Members of the committee must display knowledge of contemporary art and are responsible for managing public art projects to ensure they are "safe and durable within the public realm."
