The Dursley Male Voice Choir, from the county of Gloucestershire in the west of England, will be here on Monday, April 28 for a powerful performance at MY Place.

The 60-strong tour, made up of choristers from all ages and walks of life, are a fun, feisty and friendly bunch of music lovers who focus on traditional pieces.

The Dursley Male Voice Choir came into being in its present form in 1978 and will celebrate a quarter of a century of singing in November. The Choir started with just 18 members, some of whom are still in the group today. These men are determined to sing for pleasure and at the same time, they help charitable organizations with their fundraising endeavours.

If that’s not impressive enough, add a world height record for a public performance by a male voice choir at 37,000 feet over the Atlantic en route to Toronto on their last tour. They hope to beat this record on the flight from London to Vancouver next week.

A spokesman for the choir, Huw Thomas, said "we are all delighted to be returning to Canada to offer our hands and voices across the ocean in continued friendship with the Canadian people."

Tickets available now at the My Place box office Ph: 604-935-8418.
