What better way to end the summer than with a great family picnic?
Whistler Parks and Recreation invites the entire community to Family FunFest at Rainbow Park on Sept. 7. It’s an afternoon of food, games and entertainment. Paddle Alta Lake with canoes and kayaks courtesy of Whistler Outdoor Experience or have your future read by Tarot Card Readers while the kids check out the Fire Department’s Fire Safety House or burn off a little energy in bouncing castles. Or enter the whole family into the famous tug-o-war game.
The barbecued feast is provided by IGA, Nesters Market and Blackcomb Catering for just $4 a plate. The fun takes place between 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7.
