Astronomy Day

WHERE: Spruce Grove Field House

WHEN: May 10, 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., rain or stars.

Local astronomers John Nemy and Carol Legate, and the Whistler Astronomy Club, are celebrating an Astronomy Day with a free event for the public.

There will be an indoor presentation, and stargazing enthusiast are invited to bring any stargazing materials they have to share with the public.

Afterwards the group will move outdoors, weather permitting, for a barbecue, a guided tour of the night sky, and an opportunity to look through some pretty big telescopes. Bring you own telescopes and binoculars along to follow the tour.

The evening is open to all ages and you don’t have to have any special knowledge to take part.
