Fine fare at fall fair

It’s officially September — the sun is setting earlier, the air is getting cooler, and most importantly, it’s almost harvest time.

But you can skip a trip to the farm this weekend and still pick up your favourite local produce. Instead, head to the Brackendale Fall Fair, which is being held on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

In addition to over 50 vendors on-site offering food from throughout the region, the fair will feature live music, games, face painting and hayride.

The Squamish Historical Society will be also participating for a third year in the fair, displaying the late Lefty Goldsmith’s antique kitchen appliances alongside a new exhibit entitled, “Emily Carr’s visit to Brackendale in 1933,” which explores Carr’s connection to the area.
