Fire fighters ride to Whistler for burn survivors

If you see hundreds of bikers ride into Whistler on Sept. 12, have no fear it won’t be the Hells Angels coming to set up another chapter.

The noise on Sept. 12 will be coming from the bikes of a jolly bunch of firefighters and their supporters riding to Whistler in support of the B.C. Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.

Proceeds from the ride will also go to support the summer Burn Camp for burn survivors.

It costs $20 to enter and starts between 8 and 9 a.m. at the Flying Swan Café at 1724 West 4 th Ave in Vancouver. The motorcyclists should arrive at the Whistler Fire Hall around lunch.

The Burn Fund was established in 1978 and helps pay for medical equipment, education for hospital staff and awareness programs around B.C.
