Food bank receives $5,000 from WB Foundation

Whistler Community Services Society recently received a $5,000 grant from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation to purchase fresh and non-perishable food items for the Food Bank in Whistler.

Executive Director, Janet McDonald says of the donation: “This donation is very gratefully received! It will go a long way in enabling us to replenish non-perishable food stocks depleted over a busy fall season as well as continue to offer fresh fruit, vegetables, milk, bread and eggs to locals in need.”

The Food Bank generally serves between 1,300 and 1,500 singles and families a year in Whistler.

For assistance, or to make a donation, please call the office of Whistler Community Services Society at 604-932-0113.
