There are 6,000 Tourism Whistler members but only 1,500 of those members are eligible to vote for the position of hotel lodging director.
It was incorrectly reported in a Pique May 25 article on Tourism Whistler’s AGM that all 6,000 members were entitled to vote for this post.
The seat for hotel lodging director was the only one contested this year. Jim Allard, of Allard Contractors Ltd. was re-elected to this position garnering 133 votes out of the potential 1,500. He was running against Rosemary Cook who secured 33 votes. A total of 41 ballots were deemed spoiled.
