In an Aug. 12 story, Pique stated that Merlin Air was departing Pemberton to continue its operations in Bella Bella. In fact, Merlin Air says it is not leaving Pemberton, although the company has a legal agreement with the Heiltsuk Nation-Tribal Council. Merlin Air also disputes the claim that it owes the Village of Pemberton $5,000. The company says it has a dispute over a $3,000 survey cost.
