For the record

In last week’s feature story Big Ideas, Big World, Small Businesses, it was indicated that Darlene Samer was the driving force behind the Health and Wellness group that is partnering with Tourism Whistler to promote a number of Samer’s events. In fact, the Chamber of Commerce initiated the first meeting of Whistler’s Health and Wellness sector in August. Later that same month, Tourism Whistler, which has been focussing on Health and Wellness as a new tourism segment of its long-term tourism strategy, created a Health and Wellness sub-committee to assist in its efforts. Darlene Samer and nine other representatives were invited to join this sub-committee and Susie Mortensen was elected chair. At this time, there is no partnership or discussed partnership between Darlene Samer and Tourism Whistler.
