Queen Victoria did not accompany Sikh soldiers to Vancouver in 1897, as stated in the introduction of the article. Rather, the Sikh contingent stopped through Vancouver alone on its way back to Hong Kong from Britain. Pique Newsmagazine regrets the error.

As well, the Canada Day quiz in the June 26 issue of Pique stated that Louis Riel was hanged in 1835. In fact he was hanged in 1885.
