Do to an editing error last week's story "Abused Whistler children need more support" left the impression that the Howe Sound Women's Centre provides counseling to abused children. In fact, the centre provides counseling to children who witness abuse. As well, it was conveyed to the reporter that the centre's contracts have been put "on hold for a year." In fact, the centre's contract was extended for a year at the same number of counseling hours.
