There are a couple more days to contribute to the second annual It’s a Frame-up exhibit and fundraising project at the Foyer Art Gallery in the Squamish Public Library.

There are a couple more days to contribute to the second annual It’s a Frame-up exhibit and fundraising project at the Foyer Art Gallery in the Squamish Public Library.

Plain, white-pine bordered mirrors are currently available for sale at the library for $15. Creative minds are encouraged to decorate the mirrors and bring them back by April 3.

The decorated mirrors will be arranged to form the next exhibit and will remain on the walls from April 6 to May 2, at which point they will be auctioned off with funds going to support the Foyer Gallery.

The gallery, which showcases the works of artists and artisans from throughout the Sea to Sky corridor and the Lower Mainland, was started in 1997 as a volunteer initiative of local artist Fran Solar and continues to run on funds gained from fundraising projects such as It’s a Frame-up.

The exhibit will be accompanied by a display of wall quilts from the Squamish Valley Quilters’ Guild.
