Foyer Gallery raising funds

Wood carvers, painters, fibre artists and quilters have been busy decorating and sewing in the name of fundraising for the Foyer Gallery in the Squamish Library. Small blank wooden picture frames have become pieces of elaborate art.

Wood carvers, painters, fibre artists and quilters have been busy decorating and sewing in the name of fundraising for the Foyer Gallery in the Squamish Library.

Small blank wooden picture frames have become pieces of elaborate art. All gorgeous and all for sale. Pop into the Squamish Library’s gallery to check them out and choose the frame of your choice. On Monday, May 5 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. there’ll be a party to schmooze and they’ll choose the people’s choice award.

Also on the walls are some incredible quilts created by members of the Whistler Valley Quilter's Guild. This very active guild formed in 1993, raising money through their work and donating it to various community organizations. Their current exhibit at the Foyer features a series called A Challenge Quilt.
