Beginning Oct. 1, the Art of Tazara , a bright series of paintings featuring the whimsical artwork of five-year-old Tazara Campbell Lopes, on backdrops created by her mother, local artist Cary Campbell Lopes. A kid-friendly reception takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, during which other young aspiring artists can add their own special touch to an eight foot long canvas later to be displayed in the new Spring Creek Elementary school.
