The Whistler Art Walking Tour is a great way to see local galleries and public art pieces. Self-guided brochures are available at MY (Millennium) Place or online at The Whistler Farmers Market is also a big part of the summer art scene. Check out a broad selection of works by local artists and artisans every Sunday from 11 a.m. — 4 p.m., rain or shine.

What : The Gallery at MY (Millennium) Place

Where: Upstairs

Running until July 31: Windows — photos in window-style frames by Wim Tewinkel. Beginning August 3: The Wildlife of Burning Man — a collection of images by locals who have made the journey to the iconic counter-culture celebration taking place every year in the Nevada desert. Burning Man themed exhibit opening party Thursday, August 5, 7 — 10 p.m. with music, short films and slideshows. Ph: 604-935-8410.

What : VISEYE Photo Gallery

Where : BBK’s Pub

Photo gallery on the walls of the cozy Blackcomb Benchlands pub next to Chef Bernard’s Cafe. Current exhibit: Double Take – images by Mike Barry and Bruce Rowles.
