Galloway named vice principal at Garibaldi Highlands 

Gerri Galloway, acting vice principal and administrative assistant at Garibaldi Highlands elementary since January 1997, has been named vice principal of the school effective Aug. 1.

Galloway has 26 years of teaching experience in the primary grades. Her focus has been on curriculum development in primary math and language arts.

Her teaching background also includes several years as a library resource teacher and an intermediate specialist in math and technology.

Galloway received her Master of Arts in Education and Leadership from San Diego State University in 2000. She has a Bachelor of Education with a major in Science and Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia.
