Gay Ski Week snowballs

New York dj cranks up dance floor.

What was once the infamous Snowball party now reaches Fresh New Heights Saturday, Feb. 11 with GayWhistler Ski Week’s signature event, uncovering New York talent DJ John Miller.

"The boys like to party with very few clothes on," said Dean Nelson, executive producer of GayWhistler.com, which is hosting the weeklong event.

"We’ve found our own Mount Everest (DJ John Miller) for a fresh night that is all about passion, great energy and connecting with people."

Good vibes is what Miller is all about with high-energy vocals mixed with dark, tribal beats for ebb and flow sets he’s shared in New York and Atlanta, including gigs at Black Party Weekend, New York City’s Gay Pride Weekend, The Eagle, The Works, Stonewall and The Heretic.

Miller takes dancers well into the night from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. at the Telus Conference Centre. Tickets are $60.

Other highlights for the week include s the Kim Kuzuma concert, pumping up the crowds with her award-winning dance music with a Latin beat Thursday, Feb. 9 at the conference centre.

Drag Diva Ms. Willy is back for another charity-fundraiser Whoossh Martini Party Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Hilton Resort, clinking a cosmo to the AIDS Vancouver foundation.

Miss out on lineups with the Fresh Pride Pub Crawl $40 pass, granting access to three of Whistler’s most hopping clubs: the Savage Beagle, Moe Joe’s and Maxx Fish.

There are also plenty of après parties, mountain top lunches and spa socials to raise a pint to. For more information, visit
