Giant Used Book Sale Saturday

The other big sale this weekend

Old Man Winter seems to have arrived early this year, and the Giant Used Book Sale presents the perfect opportunity to stock up on some reading material to keep you happy and warm in front of the fire.

The sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in front of IGA Marketplace. Books, magazines, and videos are sold by donation and all the proceeds go towards the local school libraries.

A wide variety of books will be for sale, of every imaginable (and unimaginable) subject. Fiction and non-fiction lovers alike will find plenty to suit their tastes. Choices include a huge selection of hardcover and softcover fiction. There have also been a large number of interesting old books donated for this sale from a former book collector.

Children and their parents can choose from hundreds and hundreds of picture books, information books, and fiction.

The people of Whistler have been generous with their donations, as usual, and there are also a large number of library discards ensuring an excellent selection for readers of all types and ages.
