Golf course opens back nine

The Garibaldi Springs Golf Resort have announced that the back nine holes will be opened this Friday, Sept. 10th, completing the 90-acre course.

The course has been classified by the owners as a "masters" course, which means it’s designed to be shorter in length, but compensates with style and challenge.

Architect Les Furber, the same designer that built Northlands and Mayfair Lakes, designed Garibaldi Springs Golf Resort.

The course is 4,742 yards long and is a par 64 course with water features on 14 holes.

A game costs $40 during the week and $46 on the weekend and there are 10-game passes available.

The front nine holes have been open since July 29 and the course is managed out of a temporary clubhouse. The permanent clubhouse, combined with a 110-room resort hotel, is scheduled to open in 2006.
