Make a birdie, and at the same time you can help make a wish come true.
The Pemberton Valley Golf and Country Club is looking for sponsors and golfers to take part in a benefit tournament for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
For more than twenty years The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants special wishes to children who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
The golf tournament hopes to raise $20,000 from sponsors and green fees in the tournament.
The event is set for June 22 at noon, and the number of golfers will be capped at 120. Entry fees are $125. There are four golfers on every team, who will be playing a Par Points format.
Whistler Real Estate Company has already signed on as a platinum sponsor for the event. There is still room for more sponsors, at the bronze, silver and gold levels.
