Kostaman has a lot to celebrate this month. The founder of the Bands Against Hunger Society recently awarded $2,000 to a Whistler team traveling to Africa to aid a school and orphanage. Kostaman and the Vibrations continued with good tidings this month, moving on to the finals for the Emergenza Music Festival. The world beat collective will compete Wednesday, June 6 at 10:45 p.m. at the Plaza Club in Vancouver. The local troupe will host a free bus to Vancouver and back (in one evening), so Whistlerites can shuttle their support to the finals. If the band wins, they will be flown to Montreal to compete for the top Canadian indie band slot that would see them performing in Germany.
