Grad class raising funds with bottle drive

The Whistler Secondary Class of 2004 is hosting a bottle drive this Sunday, April 25, to raise money for the school’s annual dry graduation party.

The drive will take place at the Whistler Bottle Depot from noon to 4 p.m. with volunteers accepting bottles and donations.

In addition the class will come to your front door to pick up bottles by special arrangement. Contact Libby McKeever to arrange for a pick-up on Sunday, and leave your bottles and cans in a visible area.

The Dry Grad is a school-sponsored party co-ordinated by Whistler Secondary community programmers Sue Oliver and Whistler Youth Outreach worker Greg McDonnell. The party will take place on June 12 after the students receive their diplomas and a graduation dinner with family, friends and school staff at the Telus Conference Centre.
