Kelly posted the fastest second run of the day at Soelden, moving from 22 nd to 11 th in the standings – a personal best for the 25 year old, who was first selected to the development team in 1996. Her next race is on Nov. 26 in Aspen, Colorado.
Grandi was seventh in his race. He posted the fifth fastest first run but a small error on his second run set him back. At 32 years old, Grandi is a veteran of the World Cup circuit, and finished last season ranked 13 th in slalom. He has several World Cup podiums to his credit, but has never won gold – his goal for this season.
His next race is at Beaver Creek, Colorado on Nov. 30.
