Grants-in-aid awarded 

Whistler councillors approved a total of $209,288 in grants-in-aid to local non-profit societies at their meeting April 15.

The total does not include $35,000 from the hotel tax granted to the Whistler Chamber of Commerce.

The municipality received 27 grant in aid applications, totalling $333,608, this year.

The following grants-in-aid were awarded:

Girl Guides of Canada $2,000

Whistler Animals Galore $20,000

Whistler Secondary School Scholarship $2,000

Whistler Scout Group $1,400

Whistler Youth Soccer $2,000

Whistler Skating Club $3,535

Whistler Off Road Cycling Association $11,200

Whistler Mountain Ski Club $7,000

Morgan Titus $300

Millennium Place $8,400

Whistler Children’s Chorus $2,000

Whistler Singers $4,000

Whistler Community Arts Council $94,000
