Grass volleyball tournament returns for ninth year

The ninth annual Whistler Resort Volleyball Challenge is set for July 20-21 this year, with $5,000 in cash and prizes for the top co-ed teams.

In this tournament co-ed means that there are two women on the court at all times for each team in a six-on-six format.

On the first day of competition – Tuesday, July 20 – teams will play a round robin to determine what competitive bracket they play in the following day. Games go all day at the Myrtle Philip Community Centre fields.

It’s a recreational event, with a courtside beer garden, a barbecue and two nights of live music. The $30 entry fee per person includes a complimentary registration breakfast, admission to all events, and a chance to win draw prizes.

To register, or for more information, contact Joe at 604-905-8167.
