Whistler Gymnastics is now accepting registration for its winter recreational classes, which are open to boys and girls, aged 5 to 16 years old, of all abilities.

Used as cross-training for a wide variety of sports, the program will foster speed, strength, agility, balance, flexibility, body awareness, mental focus, co-ordination, teamwork and self-esteem and confidence.

The new registration session will begin on Nov. 30 for the winter session, which gets underway on Jan. 5 and runs for 10 weeks.

Whistler Gymnastics is also looking for anyone age 15 and older who enjoys working with kids and the sport of gymnastics to work as this year’s Coach In Training. Whistler Gymnastics will provide training and certification.

Whistler Gymnastics coach and 2000 Canadian National Champion Tami Ross is once again offering Sport Aerobics through the club for young adults and adults, combining aerobics, gymnastics, and dance in a high-intensity workout.

To register for the winter program, apply for the Coach In Training Position or sign up for Sport Aerobics, call 604-902-FLIP (3547), or e-mail the club registrar at simplysusan@whooshnet.com.
