The Village of Pemberton is once again looking to fill some key administrative positions.
Operations and development services manager Pete Neff and finance manager Lisa Teggarty — who both joined the village in February — have moved on.
While the village wouldn't comment on their reasons for leaving due to privacy concerns, CAO Nikki Gilmore said their departures were amicable. Both positions will soon be reposted.
While some have raised concerns about the seemingly high turnover rate at the Village of Pemberton, Gilmore said it's something she's seen a lot of since she started with the village in 1999.
"Turnover happens for a number of reasons including retirement, maternity leaves, contracting out of service and restructuring," Gilmore said in an email. "I believe we have a motivated team of employees at present and we will soon be acting to fill any remaining gaps in our workforce in the most efficient way possible. In the meantime, we are working hard to ensure a high level of service delivery within the Village."
Pemberton Mayor Mike Richman said he was happy with what Neff and Teggarty brought to the village, but that it "maybe wasn't the best fit."
"(It's) not the ideal route, but we're going to keep moving and find somebody that fits," he said.
The next meeting of Pemberton council is Tuesday, June 2 at 7 p.m.
