Trevor Millar, has been promoted from reservations manager to guest services manager at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Whistler. Millar spent two years as reservations manager. In making the announcement Wednesday new general manager Tim Campbell said Millar’s experience will be a great asset to the hotel this winter. Campbell also added he is pleased with summer occupancies and rates. Despite the extreme temperatures at the beginning and end of summer final results are looking good for July and August, Campbell said in a release. In news further up the hotel chain, Bass Hotels and Resorts — parent company of Holiday Inn — announced a number of changes this week. J.T. Kuhlman, president of Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts, based in Atlanta, has been named president of Intercontinental/Crowne Plaza for the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Ravi Saligram became president of Holiday Inn Brands International and is responsible for Crowne Plaza’s Asia Pacific division. Craig Hunt continues to lead the Holiday Inn brand as well as Staybridge, the new extended stay branch of Bass Hotels and Resorts. John Sweetwood continues as president of Holiday Inn Express.
