A CHRISTMAS FANTASY — Five Christmas plays are presented at Squamish’s Eagle Eye Theatre in the Howe Sound Secondary School, starting at 7:30 p.m. Produced by Adriane Polo and hosted by Tim Shoults, the plays include How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Four Watchers, The Brightest Star, A Chaotic Christmas and What’s My Job. CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR — The Alta Lake School presents a Christmas craft fair for children at the Delta Whistler Resort. A hands-on event with craftmaking, cookies, and live music. Alta Lake School is a Waldorf-based educational school for children. 11:30am to 3:30pm. For information call Jennifer at (604)938-1044.

WHISTLER CHAMBER MUSIC GROUP — This group of Whistler musicians performs at the Catholic Music Hall, Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, a fundraiser for the Whistler Children’s Choir which has been invited to sing at next year’s Canada Day Celebrations in Ottawa. The choir will sing Hark the Herald Angels Sing and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The Whistler Chamber Music Group will perform selections from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, and In the Bleak Midwinter from Gustav Holst. 7:30pm. MUSICA INTIMA — This conductorless 12-piece choral ensemble perform a selection of sacred music, at Maurice Young Millennium Place. Songs included are Franz Biebl’s Ave Maria, Hugo Distler’s Es ist ein Ros enstrpungen, Steven Chapman’s O Come, O Come Emmanuel and arrangements by members of musica intima. 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance for adults, $15 for youth/seniors, or $20 the day of the concert. MALVOLIO-SCENES FROM TWELFTH NIGHT — This dinner theatre presentation with musical direction from Brad Sherry rewrites Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night with focus on Malvolio, the loftier than thou servant at the household of Olivia. HOLIDAY CONCERT — Moving Chords Youth Show Choir from Myrtle Phillip school perform holiday music. CAROLING — The Moving Chords Youth Show Choir, Whistler Singers and Colours on Key perform carols and Christmas music during a walk through the village. The singing starts at the Delta Whistler Resort at 7:30 p.m. and wraps up at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler at 9 p.m.

THE NATIVITY IN DRAMA, WORDS, AND SONG — The Whistler Village Church presents the story of Jesus’ birth at Maurice Young Millennium Place Sunday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. Audience members will be invited to sing some favourite Christmas carols. CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE — The Whistler Children’s Chorus invites everyone to the 19th annual carol service at the Whistler Conference Centre. Readers come from a diverse cross-section from the community sharing a common spirit of participation. The organizers emphasize this is a carol service, not a concert, so get those wind pipes ready after a day at the hill. 6:30 p.m. For more information ring the bells at 604-932-2979.
