Howe Sound welcomes classical master

Distinguished Canadian concert pianist Robert Silverman is making two appearances in Squamish this weekend as part of the Howe Sound Performing Arts Association’s 2004/05 Performance Series.

Silverman will perform an evening concert on Friday, Feb. 4 at 8 p.m. and a 45 minute matinee recital on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m.

Silverman has played concert halls all over the world and has performed alongside every major Canadian orchestra as well as the Chicago Symphony, the Sydney Symphony, the BBC (London) Symphony and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra.

Tickets for the Friday night concert are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for children and students. The matinee event tickets are $10 for adults, seniors and students, $8 for children, available in advance at Mostly Books, Billie’s Bouquet and Highland Video. Both performances take place at the Eagle Eye Theatre in Squamish.
