To help Squamish victims of the flooding rebuild, the Hudson’s Bay Company is donating $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross effort in that community.

"The residents of Squamish have endured a terrible disaster that caused damage and left many people homeless," said George Heller, president and CEO of the Hudson’s Bay Company. "As a member of the community, everyone at HBC wants to lend their support. Through our partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, we will help rebuild Squamish to the community it once was."

HBC has an ongoing partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, and has already donated more than $100,000 this year to help forest fire victims in the Interior of B.C. and Alberta.
