Innovative, independent films featured at festival

The sixth annual Sea to Sky Film Festival is set to roll on Sept. 22 at the Eagle Eye Theatre in Squamish’s Howe Sound Secondary School.

This is a competitive festival in which the winning films are chosen by our panel of judges from the many entries that were received from around the world.

The Sea to Sky Film Festival is an international festival that celebrates the best of the innovative, independent short film cinema. This gala evening highlights the best of the Sea to Sky Film Festival. The three best dramas, the three best comedies, and top two documentaries and experimental films will be introduced and shown in the festival.

Many of film’s producers and directors will be in attendance talking about their films and answering question from the audience.

Tickets are only $7 for this hosted event and $5 for students. These are unrated films, and not all may be suitable for younger audiences. Tickets are now available at Mostly Books, Highlands Video and Howe Sound Inn.
