Jib Jam coming to Blackcomb Glacier

Mother nature has not been kind to the die-hard skiers and snowboarders intent on making an impression late in the season, but there’s one group of organizers left who want to ensure the on-snow action continues well into summer.

On June 19, Salomon will present the Second Annual Glacier Shop Jib Jam on the Blackcomb Glacier.

Organizers pushed the competition date forward to ensure the best field of athletes would be available.

Competitors will have a choice of grinding two rails when the finals start at noon. Organizers will be placing a straight rail on the course as well as a 40-foot S-coaster rail.

Last year the event attracted more than 70 athletes including Josh Bibby, T.J Schiller and Ky Petersen.
