Theyll be no more D.O.A. for a while, but that doesnt mean punk angst has gone quiet. It just shifts from guitar to keyboard.
D.O.A. cancelled their Sunday, Jan. 13 performance at The Boot after a car crash in Vancouver left Joe Keithley with his arm in a cast. The band has been re-scheduled to play The Boot March 17, according to Brandon Tereliuk of Sudden Death Records in Burnaby, B.C.
For Keithley, theres nothing to do now but sit, wait, and write. Hes been quietly penning six chapters of a new book, tentatively titled Talk Minus Action Equals Zero: Shithead Remembers. The book will be a D.O.A. tour tell-all complete with photos, and his aim is to "continue to spread the seeds of dissension through the Western world."
Meanwhile the bands latest CD has been renamed Win the Battle from Those God Damn Canadians , with several additional tracks in the new mix. The album includes the single titled All Across the U.S.A. Featuring Bif Naked, the song is a look at America after the Sept. 11 crisis.
