A happy kid is a good kid, so take the little angels along to see the hilarious talents of Rick Scott.
The talented performer plays to packed houses around the country with his song and dance comedy act. Hes a self-taught dulcimer player upside down, backwards quite impressive to watch at any age.
The songwriter, radio star, and actor on stage, film and television has performed across Canada, the U.S., Asia and Australia. His fun, bouncy songs appeal to children of all ages and hes big with the school excursion circuit.
Scott first rose to notoriety as singer and dulcimer player in the 70s-era folk group Pied Pumpkin String Ensemble, which swept the West Coast music scene at the time. In the early 80s, he turned to acting, starring in numerous stage productions including Reflections on Crooking Walking, The Late Blumer, Barnum, and Angry Housewives. In 1985 he formed The Rick Scott Band, touring across Canada and winning Best Independent Club Act and Independent Album of the Year.
In the 90s, Rick turned his attention fulltime to young audiences and has since performed more than 1,000 family concerts in schools, theatres and festivals. He has released three best selling family recordings: The Electric Snowshoe , which went gold in 1998, Rick Around the Clock , which contains his popular rap introduction to Mozart, the Yo Mo Concerto; and the CD Philharmonic Fool , nominated for a Juno Award in 1996.
