Kokanee slalom draws a few

Although turnout was down compared to the past two weeks, Kokanee Valley Race Series participants enjoyed another sunny, hard-packed day of slalom racing on Upper Cruiser Feb. 24.

Many of the usual suspects, including Whistler Mountain Ski Club coaches and volunteers, were helping out with the Parson’s Memorial super G for K2 skiers taking place on Ross’s Gold on Thursday and Friday.

The series is winding down. After this Thursday, March 3, the final event on the calendar is the dual slalom on March 17. For more information, visit www.whistlerblackcomb.com/todo/events/detail/kokanee.asp.
