KVRS full speed ahead

Despite the freezing rain and limited visibility, the Kokanee Valley Race Series went off as planned last Thursday, Jan. 27, with more than 40 participants – half as many as the previous event, but not a bad turnout with all things considered.

The event, the third of the season, was a two-run giant slalom on Lower Cruiser.

The next event is a giant slalom on Lower Franz’s on Feb. 10, which is open to all skiers, snowboarders and telemarkers. For more information visit www.whistlerblackcomb.com/todo/events/detail/kokanee.asp.
