Arts Whistler is reminding all procrastinators that they have an array of local art on sale in The Gift Shop at the Maury Young Arts Centre. Alongside paintings and prints, they also have jewelry, pottery and clothing created by Sea to Sky talent.
Local jewellers include Skol Designs, Simply Sami and Mana Designs. Painters with work on display, meanwhile, include Vanessa Stark, Lani Imre and Andrea Mueller, to name just a few. Shoppers will also find Vincent Massey's pottery, Cheryl Massey's woven basks and wood bowls crafted by Peter Joachim Scheunert the Kermod Carver.

Ocean Alley set to return
Last time Aussie psych-rockers Ocean Alley played Whistler, the show sold out before most people knew about it.
This time, they're giving locals a heads up about their upcoming gig at the GLC—several months in advance.
Their 2019 tour will include 96 shows in 10 countries and 60 cities, including Whistler on June 1.
Tickets for the show are on sale now and, if their last local performance is any indication, you'll want to jump on buying tickets.

Get in the spirit of the season for charity
Need a little push to melt your cold, Grinch heart?
A stroll through the Four Seasons' Festival of Trees ought to do the trick. The annual fundraiser for the BC Children's Hospital kicked off on Nov. 20 and runs until Jan. 8 at the Whistler hotel with a variety of decked out trees on display.
Visitors can vote for their favourite tree and donate to the children's hospital. Last year, the event raised over $22,500 for the charity. For more, visit bcchf.ca/events/event-calendar/festival-of-trees/fotWhistler/.
Meanwhile, over in Creekside, the Get the Goods team has created a Gingerbread House with sugar treats, a Christmas train and their DIY craft creations.
Visitors can also buy felt ornaments to support families living in rural Nepal. Santa is set to make some appearances on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 3 to 6 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. and again on Monday, Dec. 24 from 3 to 5 p.m.
Winter Eagle Festival to kick off
Mark your calendars—the 33rd annual Winter Eagle Festival is set to return to the Brakendale Art Gallery from Jan. 5 until Jan. 27. The Squamish venue will host a variety of events this year, from Grant Lawrence: An Evening of Stories and Songs on Jan. 20 to Valdy! and the Eagle Band on Jan. 27.
