Renters in Whistler and Pemberton will have ample opportunities to learn more about their tenancy rights in the coming weeks and months.

Sea to Sky Community Services is hosting multiple informal drop-in sessions in both communities, starting Aug. 19 at the Whistler Public Library from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Other Whistler sessions are scheduled for Aug. 26, Sept. 2, Oct. 21 and 28, and Nov. 18 and 25 (all from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.).

Sessions in Pemberton are planned for Sept. 9, Oct. 7 and Nov. 4 at the Pemberton and District Public Library from 3 to 5 p.m.

Peter Kebengele, poverty law advocate with Sea to Sky Community Services, will lead the sessions.

While the focus will be around tenant rights and responsibilities, attendees will also be able to request guidance and support around human rights issues, assistance benefits denials and other legal matters.
