The library’s Web site can be the starting point for your research projects. If you click on Online Newspapers and Magazines you will have access to Ebscohost, Canadian Newsdisc and Canadian Business and Current Affairs.

Ebscohost is an online service that provides access to full-text magazine databases. You can search the database by keywords or subjects to find articles on almost any topic. This service provides access to over 3,000 magazines. Databases include newspaper coverage, encyclopedic data, and over 1,200 pamphlets in full text.

Canadian NewsDisc Online database provides access to the full-text of 15 major Canadian newspapers and transcripts of various CBC and CTV Broadcast programs.

Canadian Business and Current Affairs (CBCA) databases provide full-text access to Canadian periodicals, newsletters, daily newspapers, and citations to an additional 400 titles.

Click on Whistler Community and you will find a list and links to arts organizations, social clubs, health services, religion, animal care, resort information, news and road reports.

If you click on Web Links you will have access to Web sites chosen by our professional staff. There are links to information on employment, business, travel, government, sports and health. The Quick Reference page provides links to encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, math tables, currency converters as well as to the weather office, road maps, and telephone directories.

Library Services

provides links to book reviews, reader resources, online magazines and the provincial library catalogue. You can search the catalogue for titles in any library in the province, then come to the library and request it on an interlibrary loan.

About the Library

lets you know the borrowing period for a compact discs or video, how much fines are, how to join the library. You can also read a brief history of the library, view the Policy Manual, read our Annual Report, find out about InterLINK and see what events are coming up.

New hours for museum

The Whistler Museum and Archives has changed its hours of operation for the summer.

From July 1 to Sept. 3 the museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The museum is located next to the library in temporary facilities, at 4329 Main Street. The museum and library are raising funds for a new, permanent building. Find out more by dropping by the library or museum.
