Thought for food and eating disorders, at the library
Eating disorder awareness week, Feb. 2-8
Anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, compulsive eating these are all forms of disordered eating and can affect anyone regardless of socio-economic background, ethnicity or career choice.
Although most of those suffering from anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa are adolescent girls and young women, disordered eating affects all ages and all genders. Disordered eating is a coping strategy or a pattern of behaviour that can develop during a struggle with a feeling of powerlessness over life situations.
