A Lions Bay woman is being restrained from administering or diagnosing the use of Botox and dermal fillers.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C. said in a news release the BC Supreme Court has granted a permanent injunction to the college against Minoo Iromloo.
The College said it found Iromloo administered cosmetic injections of Botox and dermal fillers on a person identified as a one-time client.
"As a result of the unlawful practice of medicine, the individual claimed she sustained injury including bruising, headache, and pain; she was also unable to work for a period of time," reads the news release from the college on March 8.
Iromloo is not a registrant of the college and is not licensed to practise medicine in B.C., according to the College.
"This case underscores the importance of seeing a regulated health professional for cosmetic injections," said Graeme Keirstead, chief legal counsel of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
Iromloo is prohibited by the College from identifying herself as a physician in any way, including using any name, title, description or abbreviation of any name or title, in any manner that expresses or implies she is licensed to practise in British Columbia.
